HTC Holiday spotted running on ATT LTE with 45inch display

first_imgIf you’re in the market for a new superphone soon and you want one that rides on AT&T’s speedy new LTE network, the previously-spotted HTC Holiday has been sighted once again. This time, it’s more than a Craigslist listing for a prototype with a broken screen — Engadget has scored a handful of photos and screenshots from the device. The Holiday will feature a pocket-devouring 4.5-inch qHD touchscreen display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear-facing camera with dual LED flash, front facing 1.3MP camera, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and, like numerous other HTC models, four capacitive buttons for navigating Android.Software-wise, the HTC Holiday features Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 (at least at this stage of the game) and HTC Sense 3.0, the company’s recently updated custom UI for Android. That’s all that’s known for now — other vitals like battery capacity, thickness, and weight have yet to be called out. It’s also not known when exactly the Holiday will launch, but it is thought to be one of the first phones AT&T will put or for sale in its LTE markets. A name change may also be in the works: Engadget says there’s a good chance the phone will be re-badged as the HTC Waikiki.Waikiki? Hey, sure — nothing reminds one of sun-drenched Hawaiian beaches, gorgeous, tanned women and crashing surf like a chunky, angular, gray-and-black smartphone.Speaking of dual-core LTE phones, Verizon customers are still eagerly awaiting the Droid Bionic. More details are coming out every day, and we’re pretty sure that the handset will be available some time in September, but there is no definite date yet.More at Engadgetlast_img read more
